The building encourages a community that benefits from common dwellings in a city, with daily contact to the climate, the ground and nature.
The model focuses on existing principles and their combination into a new formulation.
It is based on three foundations: The individual and the community, the economy and the world we live in.

1. The structure encourages community life and enables the dwellers a high quality of life.

2. The costs of construction in this model are almost identical to those in ordinary building (at the same level) and the maintenance costs are much lower.
3. The building aspires to attain zero influence on the environment and be cut off from the grid.
The model works in harmony with the forces of physics, the market and the local climate. There is a real need for a complete view of the architectural product and its reciprocal influences with the environment and in flexible planning that enables changes during the life of the structure.

_One thing about banks is that they are always too serious!  Their design, the people, the dress-code!  Especially nowadays with the world-wide economic hold back, you see dull employee faces with forged smiles.  Why not change the environment and make it friendlier and more playful both for the employee and for the visitor?  Tokyo based studio Emmanuelle Moureaux architecture + design adds a twist to make the serious and dull bank environment friendlier, colorful and playful.

One thing that CEO’s and managers don’t realize is that a bank won’t lose its credibility if it has a friendlier and more playful design; instead, it can attract customers.  However, Sugamo Shinkin Bank thinks outside the box in terms of the bank atmosphere and design, and it strives to provide first-rate hospitality to its customers in accordance with its motto: “we take pleasure in serving happy customers.” After the successful redesign of the bank branch outlets of Sugamo Shinkin Bank located in Tokiwadai and Niiza, Tokyo based studio Emmanuelle Moureaux architecture + design was commissioned to transform the architectural and interior design for its newly rebuilt branch in Shimura, Tokyo – JAPAN.  For this project, Emmanuelle Moureaux architecture + design sought to generate an invigorating atmosphere with a palpable sense of nature based on an open sky motif.

Everything seems, except that the branch of a bank: it’s what I thought as I watched these images. Yet it is a subsidiary of Sugamo Shinkin Bank of Tokyo, Japan.

The study Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture has wanted to play with a massive use of color on the bank’s motto, “We are pleased to serve customers happy” colors used on white background, stand both outside and inside the building.

The exterior colors are lit at nightfall, while inside is a very special reason to revive the walls and ceilings, that of “Dandelion”, or (commonly) known as “head”, this particular plant on which blows from children, expressing a wish. The heads they invade all areas of interior design, expressing different shades, also taken from the sessions very easy.

Also interesting is the idea of ??”entering heaven” in the building, thanks to the presence of three elliptical portholes, which lead not only light but also suggest that the idea of ??the hypothetical wind blowing on dandelions.
